Attachements et fragilités

Écrire dans le cours des choses

Collectif Attachements

From the daily organization of a breakfast for migrants in northern Paris, to knowing where to walk in Fukushima after the disaster, from the accurate description of osteopaths’ uncertain experience of touch, to the vital, groping decisions to be made in palliative care, from the way Europe defines objects that are both technical and political, to the plural reality of a territory like the Murs à Pêches, in Montreuil, the texts on these diverse issues gathered in this book share a common, ground-level approach, delving into ongoing experiences, the authors most often themselves being part of the action described.

Rooted in a revival of pragmatist inquiry, the Attachements collective has for many years been bringing together researchers of varying statuses eager to collaboratively discuss their work.

About the authors

Jérémy Damian is both an anthropologist and a dancer. He works on sculpting the contact zones of these two practices. His research has led him to map collective practices of cultivating aberrant sensorialities on the fringes of our modern naturalism.

Amandine Guilbert and Rémi Eliçabe are researchers at GRAC and are affiliated with SPIRAL at the University of Liège. Their work focuses on the democratization of the ecological transition and on medico-social support for people in precarious situations. More recently, they have been investigating the spread of antibiotic resistance in the environment and, more broadly, the ecology of health.

Anne-Sophie Haeringer is a teacher-researcher at Université Lyon 2 and the Politiques de la connaissance team at the Max Weber Centre. She is currently conducting pragmatist investigations into care and nursing, with a focus on end-of-life care in palliative settings, altered states of consciousness in intensive care, and post-resuscitation care.

Antoine Hennion (CSI, Mines Paris, PSL University/CNRS) has researched music and amateurs, as well as care and nursing in relation to beings and things. As a member of various collectives, including Attachements, PEROU, Pragmata, and Origens Medialab, he is involved in the revival of pragmatist inquiry, particularly with regard to ecological redirection and migrants.

Sophie Houdart is an anthropologist at the CNRS (Laboratoire d’Ethnologie et de Sociologie Comparative), specializing in Japan. Her research focuses on science, art and architecture. Since 2011, she has been working on life after the Fukushima disaster and, more broadly, on nuclearized territories.

Brice Laurent (CSI, Mines Paris, PSL University/CNRS, and ANSES) studies the relationship between science and democracy, emerging technologies, and the controversies they generate. He also researches transformations in expertise related to health and environmental risks and mineral resource exploitation.
