Brice Laurent, senior researcher at the Center for the Sociology of Innovation at Mines Paris and director of the Social Sciences, Economics & Society Department at ANSES, the French public health and safety agency.

Short Abstract: This presidential plenary explores the generativity of working across STS scholarship on the one hand and engagement in policy-making on the other. In the context of a conference theme that is interested in impact, we observe that STS both generates and thinks about impact in diverse ways.
